Dr. David Schäfer

Dr. Schäfer is a consultant of EuroCare GmBH. He received his PhD from the University of Bonn assessing the impact of agricultural and environmental policies using a wide range of models including farm-level, agent-based and spatial equilibrium models. After his PhD he worked at the University of Bonn as a Post-Doc in the HORIZON Project “MIND STEP”, where he worked foremost on further development of the highly detailed farm level model FarmDyn and it’s linkage to large-scale models including spatial and general equilibrium models.

 

Fields of Work

  • Database management, model development, and scenario design in the CAPRI and FarmDyn model
  • Project work in the agricultural domain with a focus on pesticides, grassland management, organic farming, and greenhouse gas mitigation in the livestock sector
  • Contribution to the Horizon Projects: BrightSpace, LAMASUS, Tools4Cap, Act4Cap27, EUFAWREADY
  • Reporting
