Dr. Britz is a senior lecturrer and researcher at the Institute for Food and Resource Economics, University Bonn. Dr. Britz focussed on Policy Information Systems in his doctoral dissertation, and has been involved in quantitative modelling since the beginning of his affiliation to the Institute for Food and Resource Economics at the University of Bonn (Germany) in 1991. Dr. Britz co-ordinates since 1996 the activities around the CAPRI modelling system. He worked as a consultant in the field of agricultural sector models for the EU commission, OECD and FAO. For the latter, he developed a global modelling tool in the context of the @2030 long-term projection exercise. He was also a temporary professor of University Bloemfontein, South Africa, and worked as a researcher for the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in Ispra, Italy in the field of agri-environmental interactions.
