About us
EuroCARE GmbH Bonn is a consultancy of six agricultural economists that deal with agricultural and environmental policy issues.
EuroCARE was founded in Bonn in 2000 as the successor of EuroCARE Luxemburg/Bonn, which had successfully conducted project consulting for the European Commission's DG "Agriculture and Rural Development" under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Henrichsmeyer since 1990.EuroCARE is specialized in consulting public and private organisations that deal with agricultural and environmental policy or are affected by it.
Agricultural sector analyses and projections are conducted with complex simulation models (CAPSIM, CAPRI) based on extended data bases that have been developed and are updated within EuroCARE (COCO database).
All six partners are either currently or have been previously working at the Institute for Food and Resource Economics, department Economic and Agricultural Policy, of the University of Bonn. This connection guarantees close academic collaboration on a high level.
Completed projects include several analyses of the potential effects of reforming the EU's Common Agricultural Policy (e.g. reforming the sugar market regime, mid-term review), the development of complex simulation models for the European Commission and the design of new software for the statistical database of FAO (FAOSTAT).
We provide our services with teams selected according to your individual project requirements. Our expert pool consists of permanent staff members, EuroCARE partners and other experts from EU Member States.
EuroCARE is equipped with modern information technology, which is always kept up to date. The workstations of our staff members are powerful PCs, which makes comfortable and fast development and testing of very large applications (e.g. simulation models) possible. For the realisation of large scale policy information systems GAMS with CONOPT as well as additional software tools including compiler are available.
